We arrived in Seattle after a Ferry journey from Victoria on Vancouver Island, I was adjusting to life without my camera so all the images that i took from then on were on my Pixel 3A XL which had just recently been resurrected.
Our Air BnB was in the Beacon Hill area a 2 minute Walk from the subway station, a small supermarket and what I now refer to as the coziest bar restaurant in America !
Perihelion Brewery: With smooth acoustic tunes lulling us into the early evening i was served the nicest burger i had had on the trip (maybe ever)- a big bonus to this place is that you can sit at the bar which also doubles as a window to an open kitchen.
Day 1: Seattle served up a beautiful breakfast at Pike Place Market, some cinnamon and raisin bagels with warm butter. We then went off on a two hour free walking tour, learning about the creation of Seattle and hidden places and views- the most interesting thing was that we had arrived just two weeks after the highway had been demolished in the center of the city.
We then walked to the Mariners Stadium where we watched the local Baseball team play, they won which i was told a few months later was "really bizarre and a rare occasion".
American sports are more of a show than British sports, there are more in game competitions, music  and general "pzzaz" . As if they're trying to prove that they are putting on the greatest show on earth or trying to distract you from a poor team performance... it works in all fairness. I cared more about the food and the chance that i might get hit by a baseball than the actual win.
Day 2: More sightseeing was to be had, we went up the oldest sky scraper in the city called Smith tower. Then making our way to the Space Needle we stopped by the center of modern consumerism : Amazon HQ. We did not get a chance to go into the legendary no queue shop as there was a queue to get into it . The space needle is far too expensive to go up around 40 dollars each , so we skipped o  that and rather opted to go to a lesser known view point from which we could see the whole city skyline, and crucially , the space needle. On the way there we stopped by the KEXP radio station cafe, an amazing building which as the name suggests harbors not only a live radio station but also a cafe. So you can sit down have a coffee and listen and watch the radio live.

This wall was full of notes, one which slandered an ex-British prime minister and another which was asking if anybody would marry the writer of the post-it. Probably would if they were one and the same person.

Finally Seattle I think is best seen in the early evening, during golden hour, from the top of the oldest sky scraper in the city.
