As lockdown eased over the month of July and August in Edinburgh I found myself more frequently out on walks with my camera encountering every week a growing number of people from professionals to tourists to students. This project aims to show the extremes that you can go to to capture spontaneous human moments in a socially distanced world, by taking most of these images at the max zoom of my lens at 230mm.
The results as you will see all have people going somewhere with someone or with a purpose. Showing that we can stay connected even if we have to still stay far apart and that if you look hard enough, even in dark times there is a way we can connect.
Whilst shooting these images I found myself enjoying the little spontaneous moments in life, nature and humanity moved around me as I sat still and took it all in yet I still felt that I was moving forward in some strange way.
