Film: Everyone should watch Dirty Dancing at least once a year, for the soundtrack if nothing else.
Song: In keeping with the film, everyone should listen to Bring It On Home To Me by Sam Cooke at least
once a year.
once a year.
Book: Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. I read this recently; it was incredible, and I sobbed. Taught me
about a portion of history I knew nothing about and made me feel many things for fictional characters.

What you miss the most at the moment
Stepping outside and feeling warmth. I’m a summer person.
This will change your life (unless you don’t like chocolate orange):
Chocolate Orange Brownies (original brownie recipe ripped off from Nigella Lawson, altered by adding even more calories to make chocolate orange flavour)
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Slowly melt 190g dark chocolate (the cheaper the better) and 190g butter in a saucepan
While that is melting, mix 250g caster sugar, 3 large eggs and ½ tsp of vanilla essence in a bowl
In a separate bowl, sift 112g plain flour
Chop ½ a chocolate orange and zest a real orange
Once the chocolate and butter has melted, let it cool for 5 mins (we don’t want scrambled eggs)
Mix in egg and sugar mixture
Mix in flour slowly
Add chopped choccy orange and orange zest and mix until just combined – if you overmix you won’t get any chocolate orange lumps in the final brownies, and then you’d be missing out
Pour into tray lined with buttered baking paper
Bake for about 25 min depending how thick they are – they’re ready once a skewer comes out dry
Let them cool for a while (I promise it’s worth it)
Devour
Feel happiness
